Honey, Chocolate & Peanut Butter Flapjacks

There’s something so comforting about homemade flapjacks – sweet, buttery, the warming hint of cinnamon, and a drizzle of melting chocolate make them a delicious bite. These easy honey flapjacks are one of our most–loved recipes – simple to make, naturally sweetened with honey and a swirl of peanut butter for extra richness.

Ingredients

225 g butter (plus extra for greasing the tin)

75 g caster sugar

4 tbsp honey
-
350 g porridge oats
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 tsp ground cinnamon
-
2–3 tbsp smooth or crunchy peanut butter (optional, but delicious)

100–150 g chocolate (milk, dark or white – your choice)
Method

Preheat & Prepare
Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F / Gas mark 4.
Butter and line a 20 cm square baking tin. -
Melt & Mix
In a large saucepan, gently melt the butter, sugar, honey and peanut butter (if using) over a low–medium heat. Stir until smooth and combined. -
Add Flavourings
Remove from the heat. Stir in the vanilla extract and cinnamon. -
Add Oats
Stir in the porridge oats until fully coated. -
Press & Bake
Press the mixture firmly into the prepared tin. Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden at the edges. -
Add Chocolate
Melt the chocolate and either:
– Drizzle over the warm flapjacks
– Spread over once cool
– Or sprinkle chocolate chips or chunks on top while warm -
Cool & Slice
Leave to cool completely in the tin, lift out, slice into squares and enjoy with a cup of tea.
