Dark chocolate, date and walnut energy bites
Super easy to make, and packed full of delicious dates, walnuts and covered in dark chocolate. A healthier choice and no-bake sweet recipe with no refined sugar and packed with protein. It's one of our favourites here at HeartSong Normandie, and always a welcome addition to a cup of tea after a bit of gardening, singing or dog walking with the wonder hounds. Recipe:
Makes enough for about 12 balls, but you can multiply the amounts if you want more. 1 cup pitted dates, 1/2 cup shelled walnuts - blend in food processor until mixture comes together easily. Shape into balls. Melt 100g chocolate (I used 70% cocoa) then dip/coat the balls and leave to set on baking paper/plate in the fridge. Bon appétit.
